Job Coach
This position is responsible for supervising STARS' job training enclave for participants with special needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree Preferred
- Two years experience vocational, rehabilitation, social work, psychology or similar human services/education preferred
- Enthusiasm for serving individuals with disabilities
- One year supervisory experience highly preferred working with individuals having developmental disabilities
- One year supervisory experience highly preferred working with individuals having developmental disabilities
- Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid AZ driver's liscense and clear driving record
- Must meet Department of Economic Security requirements for fingerprint clearance
Responsibilities:
- Assist in intake and initial evaluation of persons referred to and accepted by STARS in the DTA and/or Vocational Department as well as school districts
- Complete skill and behavioral assessments as well as evaluations on an annual basis
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Program Plans.
- Teach individuals with various disabilities individually or in groups.
- Supervise and train various contracts and/or vocational skills
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborative working relationship with participants, staff, families and people from the various funding sources
- Effectively train consumers and staff
- Keep up to date training records of employees and clients
- Ensure safety and well being of consumers adhere to OSHA Standards
- Act as liaison between STARS and employer
