We are thrilled to have received a grant from The Arizona Republic’s 2022-2023 Season of Sharing campaign. This is a special grant as it exemplifies the compassion of the Valley of the Sun residents, as a majority the donations come directly from the readership. The campaign, which is sponsored by The Arizona Republic, raised more than $1.6 million, which will be shared between 158 nonprofit organizations in the state.
Stars will use the grant to support its Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) program, which through careful and caring supervision in a protected work environment, our trained staff helps develop and teach meaningful employment-related activities. This initiative is designed to build confidence and help participants obtain and retain an independent work position.
The Season for Sharing Campaign was founded in 1993 and has since raised more than $72 million to support Arizona charities. The campaign focuses on helping at-risk children and families, supporting students and teachers, and aiding older adults. Because The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com cover all promotional and administrative costs, 100% of donations go directly to community organizations.
Stars is just one of many organizations that will benefit from the Season for Sharing Campaign. The grants provided by the campaign will help to improve the lives of countless individuals in Arizona and provide vital support to nonprofit organizations that are working to make a difference in their communities.
