On December 8th, Medix organized a heartwarming staff appreciation breakfast at both STARS campuses. Marni Hirshman, Board Past Chair, hosted the Medix team at the Cholla campus, while Suzette Gibson, Board Secretary, hosted the Medix team at the Osborn campus.

The breakfast allowed STARS staff to showcase the vital role of direct-support professionals (DSP), and management provided an enlightening overview of each custom program for the new Medix staff members.

Time To Celebrate

STARS was honored to be at the SRPMIC 12% Celebration at Enchant in Scottsdale. Director of Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE), Tom W. and CIE Supervisor, Kris C. enjoyed the celebration and got to meet SRPMIC Council members, community agencies, as well as Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs!

Dino enthusiasts from STARS Day Training For Adults (DTA) roamed the Arizona Museum of Natural History. The participants had a blast delving into ancient tales of the natural world, discovering the incredible dinosaurs that once roamed Arizona!

A Happy Twist To Happy Thanksgiving

In the spirit of continuing to share gratitude, a few of the Day Training For Adults (DTA) participants learned how to sign “Happy Thanksgiving” in American Sign Language (ASL) as part of their curriculum. This special lesson was led by the talented Tiffany O., a valued member of the STARS team.

Join us in celebrating the joy of learning new skills. Watch as our amazing participants express their warm wishes in ASL and spread their holiday cheer!
