We give teens a sense of place and a sense of purpose.
The Youth Program serves as a stepping stone between school and adulthood for students aged 8 to 22 years, and 18 months post-graduation. This period of time can be filled with confusion and apprehension for young individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and uncertainty for families. We serve the transitional needs of this age group with a variety of activity-based, sensory-motor, cognitive, communicative, social interactive and behavioral training programs where participants gain non-task related skills and habits that will help them throughout life. STARS staff experience includes conducting group or individual activities related to specific developmental, habilitative or recreational programs. Our youth thrive in a supportive, educational and fun-filled environment. Classes are held after school during the school year and during school breaks.
Due to the Coronavirus, Youth programming has been suspended. Please check back periodically for information about program restart.
