STARS' Youth Program

We give teens a sense of place and a sense of purpose.

STARS’ Youth Program serves as a stepping stone between school and adulthood for students aged 8 to 22 years, and 18 months post-graduation. This period of time can be filled with confusion and apprehension for young individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and uncertainty for families. We serve the transitional needs of this age group with a variety of activity-based, sensory-motor, cognitive, communicative, social interactive and behavioral training programs where participants gain non-task related skills and habits that will help them throughout life. STARS’ staff experience includes conducting group or individual activities related to specific developmental, habilitative or recreational programs. Our youth thrive in a supportive, educational and fun-filled environment. Classes are held after school during the school year and during school breaks.

Youth Summer Program participants will enjoy social and recreational focused programming with age appropriate outings and activities.  Interested in learning more?  Give us a call at 480.371.2341 or email jwalker@starsaz.org today!
